Kayra Export began its commercial journey as a family business with roots dating back 80 years, starting with the sale of handmade carpets in a historic Ottoman-era bazaar in Kayseri. In its early years, the company grew mainly through tourism-oriented trade and later specialized in home decoration, becoming a brand.
We started our commercial journey in the Old Bedesten.
Between 2000 and 2009, we contributed to our country’s exports by directing our traditional trade toward the tourism sector and selling carpets and kilims abroad.
We took our first steps into e-commerce.
We began our first e-export journey on global marketplaces.
In order to provide higher-quality service and products to our customers, we established our own carpet washing factory.
By separating from the family business, Oktay and Nurgül Başpınar founded their own family company in Kayseri city center.
We laid the foundations of our identity as a technology company by initiating ERP infrastructure projects.
By investing in home textiles beyond carpets and cushions, we increased our product diversity in e-export.
In 2019, we made the Kayra Plaza investment. In March
2020, we moved to our new headquarters.
We established our corporate identity as Kayra Export Inc. and launched our Elonky project by expanding our product range.
When our existing building became insufficient, we moved our operations to the 10,000 m² Kayra E-Trade Center in the Mimarsinan Organized Industrial Zone.
Our brand Elonky was registered in 45 classes in Türkiye, taking its first step into its international brand journey
