The story of Kayra Export began in the Kayseri Bedesten, where stone walls still whisper the past, and where not only trade but also the value of labor, word, and trust was learned. I grew up with the texture of handwoven carpets, seeing that every motif has a meaning and every knot carries a story. What I learned at a young age became the compass of my life: the producer’s labor must reach the world; the buyer’s story must meet the right product.
Time passed, the world changed. We realized early that the walls of a single shop would not be enough for the world. By combining the strength we drew from tradition with technology, we stepped into the e-commerce journey in the early 2000s. This step laid the foundation for Kayra Export’s transformation into a global structure that today reaches 174 countries and touches hundreds of thousands of customers.
Today, Kayra Export is a strong organization that manages software, design, customer service, production, warehousing, and packaging in-house, placing technology at the center of its operations. However, what truly defines us is the people-centered approach based on labor and trust behind all these processes.
Born as a natural continuation of this approach, Elonky is not just a marketplace project; it is a bridge where dreamers meet makers. It aims to make producers visible, provide buyers with an accessible and fair experience, and bring commerce to a more humane ground.
I see where we are today not as an end, but as a meaningful stop on a long journey.
